When Boyd enters a distant tree, he finds himself at the bottom of a well
The site, known as Beaver Bank Villa, has a long history, and for many years contained housing units, a community hall, fire station, school, church, convenience store, etc. (all demolished in 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s. The paved streets and sidewalks were all that remained, and the fake town was built on top of them.

Season 1 and 2 were lit but they are stretching the episodes of season 3 unnecessarily which is annoying. The episode of season 3 was good but after that they are just building up some moments which are not connecting us emotionally with the situation and I mostly fast forwarded several unwanted conversations with the characters. It was very exciting earlier but now it has turned into a drama which feels inappropriate.
May be they have plans for another season
I think after the first episode of season 3, the rest of the 8 episodes can be compressed into 3 episodes maximum. But this method of stretching the episodes is not ideal as most of the fans find it annoying including me. I hope they fix the issue next season.
